Neil Evans has worked as a geoscientist for BHP Petroleum for over 24 years and is currently the Practice Lead for Exploration Excellence based in Houston. Over the years he has worked across BHP’s global portfolio leading exploration programs and drilling over 50 exploratory wells.  He has held several managerial positions including the Head of South East Asia Exploration and more recently the Head of Gulf of Mexico Exploration.  Neil has a bachelor’s degree in Geology from Imperial College London and a PhD in Structural Geology from the University of Leeds in the UK. Neil is passionate about promoting the important role geoscience plays in the stewardship of the planet and its people.
